Napf Bike
With the city of Bern at your back, the Napf Bike route leads you into the hills of the Emmental. The Mänziwilegg overlook offers one last view of the capital city – and an even more impressive view of the Gantrisch Region and Bernese Alps. Further down the road, far away from the bustle in the valley, you'll gaze across the Emmental hilltops from the popular destination of Moosegg, before curving down toward Langnau through a rocky ravine.
The heart of the Emmental regularly displays gorgeous views of the route ahead. A challenging descent leads you down into the secluded Churzeneigraben, before the route starts a rather lengthy ascent toward Hochänzi. Just as you catch a glimpse of the mountaintop house, the route takes yet another dip before the final lengthy ascent to the point just below the summit of the Napf. A detour up the steep alpine road to the top is well worth the effort, with the view extending from the Jura over the Lucerne Hinterland and on to the majestic ridge of the Alps.

After a long descent, the hills in the Willisau region become gradually lower, the trenches more charming, the terrain flatter. The route runs through the Rottal toward Lucerne, past dozens of small farms and hamlets, making an impressive finish at the shore of Lake Lucerne.
